2021 felt a bit like a year spent living underwater: each day a series of time loops in dappled light. As we look to the surface, our our old ways of being are either structures to cling to or grow from. And what we choose to bring with on our journey defines how far we can travel.

To be present is to not fear the future, and the farther away we look for meaning the harder it is to find.
